Sympomatic of the generations weaned on the electronic environment: Radio then TV turned us into electronic info junkies; TV Dinners, then Microwave Dnners. Readers Digest gave us abridged books...then books became comics and conversations became 128 characters of TXT...now no one reads books anymore. The Web reduces attention spans to nanseconds...How McLuhanesque!
