Browsers, Security and MP3 Podcast Files

Updated: October 15, 2022

Every effort is made by this website’s developers to comply with web and security standards to make the user experience both safe and easy. However, different web browsers running on multiple platforms, and ever-changing standards make it challenging to assure 100% compatibility with every user’s device and web browsing apps.

The MP3 players embedded on the podcast posts are designed to comply with the most common browsers, e.g.- Google Chrome, Safari on Mac and the various iOS devices (iPad and iPhone), Microsoft Edge (all platforms), Opera, and Firefox on Mac, PC, and Linux. Every effort is made to test the site’ usability and security across multiple platforms and devices.

This site is compliant with security standards and best practices protocols of https over TLS (transport layer security). Additionally, all media assets (images, media files, etc.) are also running over secure web protocols. Be aware that, despite these efforts, certain browsers and/or antivirus-anti-malware software may flag this site as “insecure” or attempt to block user access to the site and/or various assets. Please use your discernment, make certain your operating systems, web browser software, and antivirus/anti-malware software is fully updated; and that your firewall and operating system security is not blocking access to legitimate sites and resources.

Apple Devices, iOS/iPad Os and MP3s

Safari running on iOS (iPhone and iPad) do not support the direct playing of audio podcasts through the HTML players on this site. This is not an issue of the site’s code or security, it is a function of the Apple standards on mobile devices.

To play the MP3 podcast audio, CLICK the Download button to play on a webpage player directly from our secure server. To download the MP3 to your device, right click and select Download. This is NOT an issue with Safari on MacOs.

Android and Other Mobile Platform Support

This site is built to the current standards of support for mobile platforms running on Android OS devices to the highest degree possible. Because, unlike Apple, Android is highly modified by the various device manufacturers, and software browsers may vary in how they present web pages, we cannot assure that all users may have the same experience on these devices. We suggest trying a different browser if you experience problems. Generally, Google Chrome running on Android will provide the most uniform user experience. Alternatives are Firefox or Microsoft Edge.
